Is Microsoft Dynamics Choking Your Growth?

When testing Microsoft Dynamics, they will notice that they do not suffer from the same kinds of limitations. It is, however, has its own set of drawbacks that May be a choking its growth.

For those of you who do not know May, Microsoft (MS) dynamics is similar to Microsoft Office in the Microsoft Dynamics suite of business applications products. In Microsoft Office, there was Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Outlook. Each of these programs have different purposes and they work pretty well together -. But it's not quite the same picture with the MS Dynamics As you will soon see the

Basically, Microsoft Dynamics is a marketing term for a bunch of business applications that include a CRM ii four (yes, we will focus on) ERP system. Only one, CRM, emerged from the ground up by Microsoft, a web-based.

There are only four major Microsoft ERP packages that are offered in the USA: GP (formerly Great Plains Software), NAV (formerly Navision), AX (formerly Axapta) and SL (formerly Solomon). These four business packages are purchased by Microsoft to make sure they have a foothold in the enterprise software space. Each of the Windows package (problematic in all the Apple-dominated world). Each system is designed to serve different clients, but there are a lot of heavy overlap in the features and capabilities.

Each of these ERP packages have a long history and strong. However, there are some limitations with respect to cloud applications, such as NetSuite. First of all, you need to buy equipment, server software, and labor for installation, maintenance and management system. All this requires a business expense - and this is where you can see the growth inhibited. All the money spent on the management of these processes can be much better used to grow your business.

Another weakness with these independent packages is that they all have their own reporting capabilities. Integrated reporting makes business planning easier. In Microsoft Dynamics, you will need to write your own reports combine data stored in an independent ERP and CRM systems. And Microsoft has another product to get the data, Management Reporter. Generally, you will not get the best business intelligence, because the information is stored in multiple places. This is one of the advantages of a fully integrated business management software, such as NetSuite.

Microsoft has developed its own Cloud offering. This is called Azure, which is a way to host the business applications for the cloud. This will eliminate the need for hardware and server software. However, there are still challenges, such as the need to establish and set the Azure environment and make sure it works properly. This means that we still have a better IT geek around to help. Of course, there are third parties that are available for hosting and set up. However, all these processes have costs associated with those that can be avoided with the right architecture and offer, in essence, this approach means that the segment of IT outsourcing, but not nearly enough. For most companies, there is little competitive value in the management of all software in the cloud.

Your costs will be higher, because the architecture of Dynamics is a multi-Tenente. It is meant to be a unique primjer.Velika drawback is that you have to manually execute your upgrade - and if not, get behind the possible risks do need new applications, such as putting in new software softver.Korist system, as it is, is that the software is upgraded twice a year, is included in the contract, and you can not get behind.
