Women Smokers Are At Risk Of Early Menopouse
CALIFORNIA-Women who smoke have a risk of a year faster than those who had not menopouse smoking. In addition, women smokers can also suffer from heart disease and bone.
Research done in the journal Menopause, have compiled data from several previous studies involving 6 thousand women in the United States (u.s.), Poland, Turkey and Iran.
Normally, women who don't smoke usually experience a menopouse at the age of 46 to 51 years. But for women who smoke will typically experience a menopouse from the age of 43 years. However, Tuesday quoted Reuters (6/10/2011).
During menopause, a woman's ovaries stop producing eggs and they can no longer pregnant.
"The results of the research we do, provide further evidence that smoking is significantly associated with early (age of menopause) and advise them to stop this habit," said Volodymyr Dvornyk, scientists from the University of Hong Kong.
Dvornyk and team also analyzed five other research applied to women with ages 50 to 51 years grouped as women "beginning" and "late" menopause.
More than 43 thousand women in the study involved. Women who smoke have higher risk of 43 percent compared to may instead of smokers to have premature menopause.
Both early and late menopause has been associated with health risks. Women who experience menopause late, is considered a high risk of breast cancer patients because one of the risk factors for the disease is more about estrogen.
"The General Conclusion from this is penilitian, an early menopause may be associated with a greater amount and higher risk of health problems of menopause, such as osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, obesity, Alzheimer's disease, and others," he added.
Dvornyk also explain back early menopause increases the risk of death is presumed a little for a woman in the next year.
Meanwhile, Jennie Kline, an expert in epidemiology from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York presents, there are two theories as to why smoking can lead to menopouse.
Smoking can give effect on a woman's body to reduce estrogen (ovum). As a component of cigarette smoke can kill the egg.
"A better way to women smokers are quitting smoking since their worrying about now, diaripada of menopouse," says Kline, Member of the study.
