Officially, Skype So Belong To Microsoft
CALIFORNIA-Microsoft finally reached an agreement to cooperate with IP-based Voice service (VoIP), Skype. After the EU agreed that cooperation.
In a statement, Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, saying, "Skype is a phenomenal product and much loved by hundreds of millions of people around the world," said Ballmer.
Ballmer added, "we look forward to working with Skype, to create new ways for people to stay connected with family, friends, clients and colleagues, anytime and anywhere."
Microsoft has acquired Skype for USD8,5 billion. Skype is a service that has 65 million subscribers. As reported by Tech Radar, Tuesday (17/11/2011)
After the partnership between Microsoft and Skype, Skype, now CEO of Tony Bates, served as President of the Board of Directors Skype Microsoft.
Bates says, "Microsoft and Skype, will team up with accelerating the purpose of reaching 1 Billion Skype users per day," he said.
Not yet known how Microsoft will integrate with Skype, but it is likely we will see a form of integration of it in Hotmail.
