Creating a Google-Powered Small Business to Maximize Performance

Google has come a long way since its inception and its IPO in 1998 as a search engine while competing with heavyweights AOL, Lycos and back in those days. However, what separates the company from the pack is their ability to invent and extent of free tools and resources that small businesses can use every day. In a world where small business has fewer boundaries and globalization is as easy as turning on, it's a pretty savvy and strategic focus. With these tips, you can create a Google-powered small business that is efficient, lean, and best of all, increasing its operational efficiency.

Of course, Google is a powerful search engine information on just about anything your little heart May be looking for, and the company has done extremely well in the core business (revenues were nearly $ 24 billion last year, and if želitedio action, be prepared to shell out about $ 600 a share these days). However, in recent years, Google's bread and butter has become their own small business applications that have allowed companies of all sizes to exchange e-mail, calendars, documents, spreadsheets, images, video, web analytics, advertising, and just about any what else you can imagine -. Free

Here are some of Google's small business applications can use every day that my shop doors were open.

Gmail - Google's market-leading e-mail client Gmail, allows anyone to set up a free account with 28g capacity, and do not worry if you do not understand what's Gig, because you do not have to. I only know that a lot of space. My favorite new feature on Gmail, Google Voice application that allows you to make free phone calls to everyone in the U.S. using VoIP. You can even add a "call me" widget your small business is a website that allows visitors to call your office right from your homepage. When you are ready to make the conversion, you can import your existing e-mail address, contact details and e-mail to your new Gmail account for a seamless conversion.

Google Places - This is a free directory listing for your local businesses, so it is May to find Google Maps or Google search. You can add your business to address, description of services, business categories, areas that are used, keywords, images, video and more. Arguably, the best part is that it's totally free. Yahoo.com, Local.com, a Yellow Pages are all paid local business directories, and the irony is that most people use Google when searching through the local business ads anyway. I also love that Google added a picture of your store front by default when you enter in your email address (Google pays people to take pictures of all the addresses in the world - no kidding) If you run your business from home as I do, you can easily convert image feature.

Google Apps Social Media - Some analysts and experts joke that Google has a particularly difficult time than they are in social media, and brings a unique platform for the mass market, but I do not agree (with the exception of Google Buzz, which allows you to create profiles and share updates, video, photos and much more, a recent hit with lawsuit over privacy). In 2006, Google bought YouTube, the undisputed champion of social video-sharing sites. As a small business, you can create, upload, and share them to more end-user sites that include your web site pages and e-mail marketing campaigns. Use this simple, informative and attractive online video to introduce your company, product or service.

You can easily set up profiles, integrate Blogger into your small business website, you or your employees can start blogging today about your industry trends, new products or services that are rolling out, or with, and just about anything else that relates to your the company. Having a blog is becoming increasingly more and more important to build a powerful web-based brand for your small business, because it gives your company voice and body, which immediately helps the Google search rankings.

Finally, Google Picasa allows you to upload, store, edit and share hundreds of photos that integrate with your small business to other Google Apps, web pages and other social media sites.

AdWords, Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools - the last category of essential Google Apps for small business must include the AdWords platform to create and manage ad campaigns on Google Analytics, a comprehensive platform for in-depth monitoring of your small business web site visitors and how they behave on your site. and Webmaster Tools, Analytics brother to help your small business is the webmaster to understand how Google indexes and ranks your website

My small business is run almost exclusively on the vital Google Apps listed above, and I could not be happier or more productive. If you need help setting up and maintaining any of these tools, or are wondering how you can start using Google to help make your business run faster, smarter and more efficiently, take a deeper look at Google small business tools.
